There are a variety of outside elements that can harm developing embryos. However, with our specially designed HVAC units and high-efficiency particulate air filters, we can cycle the air from a room 20 times every hour. This reduces the risk of contamination. Since our lab is onsite, there is no need to transport embryos from facility to facility, further reducing the risk of contamination. Our lab is closely monitored and is only accessible to certified lab staff, removing any security risk.

The day after hatching, the embryo is transferred to the uterus where it will hopefully implant and result in a successful pregnancy.
The embryo is held with a specialized holding pipette. A very delicate, hollow needle is used to expel the acidic solution against the outer “shell” (zona pellucida) of the embryo. The acidic solution creates a small hole in the shell.
