About Dr. Wood
Dr. Samuel Wood, MD, our Medical Director, is an acclaimed reproductive endocrinologist who specializes in infertility. He is particularly famous for successfully treating “hopeless cases.” Dr. Wood has turned many intended parents into happy parents.
As San Diego’s leading fertility specialist, he is a member of many societies including the Society of Reproductive Endocrinologists and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. He specializes in assisted reproductive technologies (ART) and complex laparoscopic procedures.
In addition to obtaining an M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV), Dr. Wood also holds three other graduate degrees: a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from MCV, an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Richmond and an M.B.A. from San Diego State University. Dr. Wood did his post-graduate medical training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of California at San Diego.
